Boca Grande & Englewood Tarpon Fishing Charter Trips & Rates

Boca Grande, Florida is the number one location to target tarpon. That is why our area is called the "tarpon capital of the world." The best time of year to target tarpon is April through July. The tarpon begin migrating into Boca Grande during March and are in full swing early to mid April. We consider April to be the preferred month to target tarpon in Boca Grande Pass because the crowds of other boaters have not arrived and the tarpon are chewing! The tarpon are thick throughout May and June then their migration slowly comes to an end by the end of July and we'll be left with local tarpon in the bays. We're typically catching tarpon that weigh between 50-130lbs, but the occasional 150lb+ tarpon will be caught throughout the season.

We primarily target the tarpon in Boca Grande Pass. The Pass ranges from 40-80ft and the tarpon congregate there for safety in numbers and the large amount of food that flows in and out. It is not uncommon to have 20-30ft of solid tarpon on our Humminbird down sonar. We use conventional reels with braided line marked at certain depths to assure your live bait is at the prime spot in the water column. When the tarpon are not in Boca Grande Pass, we will target them using live bait on the beaches with spinning gear.
