Boca Grande & Englewood Charter Fishing Captains

Full time professional charter captain, US Army retired

I was born and raised here in our great state of Florida. As a 4th generation Florida native, I grew up on the water … whether fishing for reds on the Gulf coast, duck hunting on the Ocklawaha River, or spearfishing and diving for lobster on the Atlantic coast … I’ve just about done it all. Fishing has always been a passion of mine and I love spreading that passion to other people.

After high school, I joined the military and spent the next 22 years as a Professional Mariner. I served on a wide spectrum of Army vessels ranging from Hovercraft, LARC-LX, and finished out my career as a First Mate on a 174 foot Landing Craft. Throughout this time, I totaled 12 safe years of logged Sea Service and sailed over 100,000 nautical miles. I took every opportunity to fish during my travels around the world and still … I’ve never fished any finer waters than here in SW Florida! After my stint of serving our nation, I finally decided to turn the page and return to my home state to begin a new chapter of my life.

After visiting and fishing the Charlotte Harbor and Boca Grande area for over 10 years, I finally decided to make this area a permanent home in 2012. Even though I grew up primarily freshwater fishing, it will never compare to my love for saltwater fishing. I was introduced to saltwater at a very young age and can remember how exciting it was exploring the backcountry in search of redfish or seeing a tarpon jump for the first time. It is these types of experiences I want to share with others new to the sport of saltwater fishing.
